Sightseeing Trip to Sedona
The Red Rock Country of Sedona tops the list of USA Weekend’s Most Beautiful Places in America. Angular formations, high mesas and rocky cliffs define the multi-terraced skyline. Multi-colored rock formations rise from the desert floor creating a brilliant, spellbinding backdrop that changes with the light. From the stone towers to the vortexes and lush desert life, Sedona inspires awe and wonder.
Chapel of the Holy Cross
The Chapel of the Holy Cross is built into the buttes of Sedona. It is an unforgettable sight from all angles. More than half a century after its construction, visitors marvel at its distinctive architecture and the panoramic vistas from its site. The Chapel of the Holy Cross continues to be a place of wonder, spiritual renewal, and unforgettable views for all who come to Sedona.
Tlaquepaque Sedona’s Arts & Crafts Village,
Tlaquepaque (pronounced T-la-keh-pah-keh) is the most unique shopping experience found in the Southwest. Authentically fashioned after a traditional Mexican village, Tlaquepaque means the “best of everything.” Tasteful galleries and unique shops blend seamlessly with the natural surroundings, where giant sycamore trees stand in testimony to the care taken in preserving the timeless beauty of the Tlaquepaque grounds. Visitors return to again and again to wander, to eat, to refresh the body and soul.
After our journey back to Phoenix, another fun-filled dinner awaits at one of the city’s finest eateries.
Old Town Scottsdale
Scottsdale is a city of constant reinvention, and nowhere is this more evident than in Old Town Scottsdale’s line-up of cafes, gastro-pubs, and wine bars. You’ll want to remember your visit to Old Town by picking up a souvenir that you won’t find anywhere else. You’ll find the largest purveyor of fine Native American jewelry, arts, textiles, crafts, and furniture.
Explore A World of Music
The World’s Only Global Musical Instrument Museum®
MIM displays more than 6,800 instruments collected from around 200 of the world’s countries and territories. It is the largest museum of its kind in the world. Most displays are enhanced by state-of-the-art technologies that allow guests to see the instruments, hear their sounds, and observe them being played in their original environments—performances that are often as spectacular as the instruments themselves. All guests are invited to play instruments from around the world in the Experience Gallery. http://www.mim.org/galleries/geographic-galleries/
